Excuses, excuses

I had been planning to run 8 miles this morning. I don't know why. There was no particular reason to run that far this morning. So, I didn't, for several reasons:

1.It was already 70 degrees when I got up to run and I don't do well in the heat.
2.If I had opened the garage door to drive to the river, which is where I like to do longer runs, I would have (maybe) awakened our house guest.
3.I didn't sleep well-I was anxious about children. And hot, restless, and uneasy.
4.I woke up feeling old, tired, stiff, and slow.
5.I didn't need to or have to.

So, I ran six miles-made myself do it. I'm glad I did it and I'm glad it's done! Breakfast and Bible time now. :-)

Happy Labor Day weekend to all!

(Terri F.--if you're reading this, I've got a website for you to go to: www.littledoor.org I know you mentioned a while back that your DH was going to Myanmar in December; our church is also sending a couple of men in December. I'm just wondering if there will be any overlap between your men and ours. Will they be in the same area ministering? Or there at the same time? It would be neat if they could connect and compare notes--our men have been going for about 10 years, I think.)

  1. Good for you, 6 miles is great! It has been a long time since I have run over 4 miles (a month or more!). I planned to run longer today but forgot my inhaler! :)
