Not feelin' it

(Kim W., this is for you.:-)

I know I haven't posted in a while. I'm still running and thankful, very thankful, for the cooler weather. But I'm not loving running so much these days. Don't know why--my health is good, no injuries. Just not feelin' it.

The Tulsa Run is 5 weeks away; I haven't registered yet. I'm waiting on my sons-want to be sure they are willing and able to do this with me. Some of my brothers, who live in Tulsa, may be running too. Maybe I'll do this one last run, then trade in my running shoes for walking shoes . . .

I ran 7.5 this morning-in the neighborhood. It was good, but towards the end, I felt like an old person shuffling along. You know the older people you see out "running", but they're really only walking, with a little bounce in their step? That's what I feel like some days. :-)

Enough procrastination, back to bible study. Ephesians-great book! " . . . He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world, that we would be holy and blameless before Him." Eph. 1:4.

  1. Great to hear from you!
I go through those stages too.
Walking is always a good alternative to do something different for awhile.

  2. 7.5 is great!!! I highly doubt you looked like an old person. You would have to be old for that.

  3. Oh Mary Ann I can relate...I hope you get to run the Tulsa Run. Last one I did was in 2006 and I think they have changed the course with a few added hills=(
I love the book of Ephesians! Our women are studying this at the womens bible study this year.
BTW thanks for the site on Burma my husband is still planning the trip middle December.

  4. Mary Ann,

Thanks so much for your update. 7.5 miles! That is great...and I know for a fact you do not look like an old person shuffling along...that made me laugh. You are an inspiration to me to keep striving for a healthful lifestyle and being active.

The tulsa races were 2 of the ones I was *training* for before my injury...I hope you can still run in them(or one of them) and that your sons will, too. That would be fun making it a family event. I was really wanting to visit Tulsa again and running there in the fall sounded so fun...maybe another year for me.

I hope you are enjoying this gorgeous weather.
