Ivory Soap

Although I haven't used Ivory Soap in years, I love the clean, fresh smell of it. Sometimes while I'm out running in the neighborhood I'll pass an older woman who has the scent of Ivory wafting from her face and hands. It makes me smile. I also love the smell of the original Jergen's lotion. My grandmother kept a bottle of it in her bathroom-that cherry almond scent always reminds me of her. And makes me miss her.

I've been busy working around the house and yard, and not too motivated to blog lately, but at least I'm still running. Since Aug. 15, I have done: 3, 3.5, 4, 7, 3, 3, 5, 3 and this morning, down by the river with a refreshing breeze, a 6. The weather continues to be cooler than normal for this time of year and that is such a blessing! Thank you Lord.

Still training for the Tulsa Run, but both my running boys have shin splints, so that's disappointing. If they can't run, I don't know that I will run either. We'll see.

Missing walks with my friend!

Grace and peace~

  1. Your runs sound great! Especially down by the river. The weather has been so nice lately. I love the smell of ivory soap, too. I had kinda forgotten about that until you mentioned it. It has been a long time since I have used it. It was great to hear from you!

  2. Smell is such a powerful sense isn't it? I hope your boys shin splints heal soon.
