Approximately 1 mile . . . should I ask DH for the Garmin???
This time I warmed up about 1/4 mile before starting my one mile run. I should have known, but didn't realize the importance of loosening the muscles before a fast run, until I read it in my running book.
Isn't great that we can keep learning every day?
Favorites from the Proverbs: Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue. Prov. 31:25-26
May it be so.

I love my Garmin and have a hard time running w/out it now!
ReplyDeleteYes, may it be so!
Great pace! Mike got me the garmin forerunner 305 for a gift this year and I have really benefited from having it. I love knowing exactly how far I am running because I run different routes so often...plus, when I get home I download each run onto my training center(which is the software that come with the garmin) and I can see my mileage for the week, average pace, and compare it to other weeks, etc. It also shows the map of my run with its gps system. If you have any questions about it let me know.
ReplyDeleteLove those verses in Proverbs especially these words "She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue" Oh might my tongue be used for His glory...
ReplyDeleteI almost bought my Garmin this week but I keep holding out until my hill training is over and I begin the speed work phase. I don't know if I really want to know how sloooow I am running right now=)
I don't have a garmin either. Part of me would like one and another part of me thinks I would become really obsessed with looking at my pace all the time during my run! I think I need to look into doing speed work - something I have never done. What's the running book you are reading?
ReplyDeleteGreat verses, very challenging. You are so right, every day is a day to learn isn't it?
Much Ado---The book I'm reading probably doesn't apply to any of you. :-) It's called "Running Past 50."
ReplyDeleteI have a lot to learn about speed work. I love the challenge and excitement of learning new things.
Terri--I bet you're running faster than you realize. Let me know if you get the Garmin.
