Yesterday I walked with my friend-sweet time.
Today I ran at 5:30 AM. I had hoped to do at least 4 miles, but I was feeling good and kept going. Legs started feeling heavy and weak at 5.5, so I stopped at 6 miles. The temperature was about 64 and I enjoyed a few light sprinkles of rain as I ran.
One of my friends is going through a challenging season right now, so I sent her a few verses for encouragement. Here's what I sent:
When I thought, "my foot slips," your steadfast love, O Lord, held me up. When the cares of my heart are many, your consolations cheer my soul. Psalm 94:18-19
And those who know your name put their trust in you, for you, O Lord, have not forsaken those who seek you. Psalm 9:10
For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord will give grace and glory; no good thing will He withhold from those who walk uprightly. O Lord of hosts, blessed is the one who trusts in you! Psalm 84:11-12.
The Lord is near to the brokenhearted and saves the crushed in spirit. Psalm 34:18
You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasure forevermore. Psalm 16:11
I pray one or more of these verses will comfort you today.
