Yesterday, I walked about 3 miles with my friend-warm, sunny, and breezy. Lovely. She quoted Rev. 19-22 to me and I recited 2 Tim. 1-3 for her.
This morning I ran at 5:40 AM for about 4.5 miles-another good run. Thank you, Lord!
I wore my new Asics singlet-grape colored-and I liked it alot. www.roadrunner.com It was definitely cooler than my cotton sleeveless shirt. Of course, the weather was just about perfect-60-and that helped too.
This morning David was in the state piano competition in Searcy. He received honorable mention, which we were thrilled with. The competiton was stiff.
I'm off to visit my mom (mum :-) and other family members, including my g'dtr! in the morning. My running gear is packed; I hope there's time to use it.
Blessings on your Lord's Day-may you draw near to the throne of grace with confidence, and find mercy and grace in time of need.

What a great job for David! My older girls sometimes compete at the regional level, but have not made it as far as state yet. That is really wonderful that David did so well! Congrats to him!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you like the asics top! It is really comfortable. I have it in black and the grape(purple)color.
It is gorgeous running weather, but I am making myself rest. I have no choice, couldn't run if I tried. Thanks for praying for me...I am hopeful the injury is minor.
Kim,
ReplyDeleteI know you probably don't like to take medicine-neither do I-but I'm wondering if Ibuprofen or another inflammatory med would help the healing and recovery?
I wish I had also gotten black-maybe next time. :-)
Will continue to pray for you to wait patiently and heal quickly!
Thank you for praying! You are right...I don't like to take any meds. But, Mike had suggested that I take some iboprofen on Friday morning after not being able to sleep well on Thursday night. I took some that morning with my breakfast and felt so much better. I also took some yesterday evening. I am trying to not take some today, but I did read that it might help in the recovery. Mike wants me to take some every 4 hours. I guess I should.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to David, what a great achievement! Hope you had a wonderful visit with your mum (mom ;)) and granddaughter.
ReplyDeleteLove your last sentence, isn't it great that we can approach God's throne with confidence! :)
What a wonderful achievement!
ReplyDeleteSo, I read about that shirt on Kim's page and forgot to ask... is it see through? I can't stand that kind of material so I'm hoping this might be my match! I'm so picky with shirts!
